FIRST SHOOTING IN SYRACUSE, FOR 2006
Man, 23, found fatally shot. Early 01/28/06 in the 200 block of Columbus Avenue, police said. Jermaine S. Johnson, of 2003 E. Fayette St., was struck by several bullets about 12:50 a.m., Officers responding to a report of shots fired found Johnson lying in a parking lot across the street from Club DC, 1700 E. Fayette St. This is the city's first of the year. Johnson may have been in the club Friday night. People ran, when they heard the shots. City Officers would like to talk to anyone who knows Johnson and saw him Friday night or early today. Anyone with information should call city detectives at 442-5222.
